I would grab my cell phone not because I can't live without it but because I have a lot of pictures on it, about 1,000. I don't have all of the pictures saved to my computer so I don't want to lose them. Also, so I can call the emergency number if my house is burning down.
One or two words: hidden value
2. My iPad
I would grab my iPad because it is pretty valuable and it means a lot to me because it was a gift from my parents. I know that they wouldn't care because their number one priority would be me being safe but it is important to me. Also, I have a lot of music on my iPad that I wouldn't want to lose.
One or two words: significant melody
3. My computer
I use my computer for a lot of things including school work. It wouldn't be the end of the world to lose my computer but it would make my life a lot harder to complete papers and assignments. I would save my computer so that I wouldn't have to always borrow a friends or go to the library to get work done.
One or two words: task completer
4. My external hard drive
So I know this sounds a little weird but I recently got a new computer and stored all of my old pictures from my old computer on the external hard drive. Pictures say a thousand words and remind me so much of fun memories I had and I do not want to lose those.
One or two words: compact memories
5. My blanket
I would choose to grab my orange and yellow blanket because my aunt made it for me when I was younger when the family was going through a hard time. I don't like to go anywhere without it. Also, it is my two favorite colors!
One or two words: meaningful comfort
6. My clutch with ID, debit card, blood donor card, and other important information
My clutch has a lot of important information in there like insurance card, and bank number. When I don't have it with me I feel lost. I just feel that if I could prevent it I would not want to lose my ID or debit card or any cash I may have and all of that is kept in my clutch.
One or two words: information holder
7. A picture of my family
It always comes back to pictures with me and this picture is my absolute favorite! My family means the world to me and I always want to have a picture with me so that if I am having a hard time I can look at it and feel stronger.
One or two words: inner strength
Finished product!
I wanted to make my picture show that the most important things are not the items but the memories. I made my background the blanket because its not something super important although it still has meaning. For the rest of my items I made it look like they were connecting in the middle to the most important thing in my life, my family. I made the picture of my family stand out the most and it is on top of everything else. Also, all of my other items connect to my family in some way and I wanted to show that. Something that I feel this doesn't show about me as a person is that I am not hugely materialistic. Although this picture seems to show that I need my computer and phone and iPad I don't. I could live with out any of these items but given the chance these are the things in my room right now that are most important to me.
